Qualification: M.B.Ch.B, MSc (UK), PhD (Sweden)
Dr. Luqman graduated from medical college in 1999 and ranked number one among his fellow graduates. He completed his internship in Erbil city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and then he was employed for two years by WHO program for control of infectious disease in Asia. Following that, Dr. Luqman completed medical training in general medicine for another 2 years.
In 2005, Dr. Luqman Sulaiman successfully completed a master degree with distinction in clinical oncology in Nottingham University in the United Kingdom followed by two years of specialized training in Medical oncology in City hospital in the UK.
In 2007, Dr. Luqman established a medical oncology unit specialized for adults with solid tumors in Nanakaly Hospital in Erbil city and was appointed as the head of the unit until January 2009 when he pursued his MD PhD program in the field of Cancer in Cancer Centrum in Karolinska Institute in Stockholm/ Sweden and successfully finished his doctoral degree in Jan. 2013. Following that, he did six months of postdoctoral research in the same institute and his overall work has resulted in eight original research articles all published in highly recognizable international journals in the field of cancer.
Dr. Luqman Sulaiman has a long-standing experience in the management of adult solid tumors and is actively involved in many international cancer societies and organizations dealing with cancer.
